The Wyoming Legislature concluded the 2024 budget session last Friday, agreeing to a biennium budget that has been sent to Governor Mark Gordon for consideration and signature.
There ended up being a total 366 bills and resolutions posted for consideration.

3.04.24 Legislative Update
Today the legislature enters what is supposed to be the final week of the 2024 budget session. The legislature has three days left over from last year’s general session that they can use if the House and Senate Joint Conference Committees do not come to an agreement on the state’s biennium budget. The two chambers are currently about $1 billion apart in their respective budgets.

During a budget session, all bills (except for the Biennium Budget Bill), including committee-sponsored bills, must pass a 2/3 introductory vote in their house of origin to be considered during the session. This means that all Senate files must receive 21/31 votes. In the House, it takes 41/62 votes. There ended up being 366 bills and resolutions posted for consideration.

Last Friday was the cut-off for bills to be introduced and considered for this session. 177 total bills have failed so far.
